A sacred Temple Library text for women who bleed—a remembering, a balm, a guide.
On Days When You Bleed
A ritual, a remembering, and a return
“I ache not because I am broken—but because I am softening into truth.”
— The Womb
Bleeding is not a punishment. It is an ancient renewal. Each cycle, your womb prepares, releases, and speaks. And when it hurts—she is not trying to harm you. She is trying to be heard.
Pain at the start of your period is often a signal: that your body has held too much without being held in return. That your spine—especially your lower back—has carried what should have been laid down. That your womb is releasing not just blood, but emotion, memory, ancestral silence.
This is not pathology. This is remembrance.
✧ Why Does It Hurt? ✧
When your period begins, the womb contracts to release its inner lining. But if there is tension—emotional, physical, or spiritual—the contraction becomes louder, sharper.
Especially the lower back and sacrum will cry out if:
- you have carried others’ weight,
- ignored your body’s quiet signals,
- or if your womb holds grief, guilt, or unshed tears.
The pain is not an enemy. It is an invitation to rest, to feel, to soften.
✧ How to Ease the Pain ✧
Body + Spirit + Light
Call in Archangel Raphael, guardian of the healing green ray and spinal alignment.
Place your hand on your lower back. Close your eyes. Breathe into your womb.
And whisper:
“Raphael, I invite you in. Place your light upon my spine.
Let my womb speak without pain. Let my back soften into flow.
Let what is ready to be released, leave in peace.”
✧ Sacred Oil Blend for Lower Back Relief
You will need:
- 2 tbsp almond or jojoba oil
- 2 drops lavender (calm)
- 1 drop clary sage (womb harmony)
- 1 drop frankincense (spinal light)
- Optional: 1 drop rose (love & softness)
Mix and warm gently.
Massage into lower back in slow, circular motions.
Anoint with presence. Let this be a love letter, not just a remedy.
✧ Warm Compress Ritual ✧
You will need:
- A warm, damp cloth
- A few drops of the oil blend (optional)
- A hot water bottle or heating pad
Place the cloth over your lower back.
Layer with warmth.
Lie down, hand on womb, hand on heart.
Rest for 20–30 minutes in stillness. And whisper:
“I release the burden of holding what is not mine. My womb is not a battlefield.
My spine is not a wall. I am safe to feel. I am safe to rest. I am safe to soften now.”

✧ Invocation of the Sigil ✧
On this day, I soften. On this day, I return to my body through love.
I call in White, Pure, Iridescent Light. I call in Archangel Raphael.
Place your wings upon my spine. Let your light rest where it hurts.
I offer my blood in reverence. I offer my pain in trust.
May this sigil awaken the rhythm of my womb.
May my back release what is not mine.
I am not here to endure.
I am here to feel. I am here to rest.
I anoint my body as holy. I spiral back to truth.
I am held. I am whole. I am home.
✧ The Sigil of Softened Return ✧
This sigil is not decorative. It is alive. It is a frequency. A map. A remembering.
Born through White, Pure, Iridescent Light and blessed by Archangel Raphael, it holds the codes of soft release and womb-held light.
Let it guide your return to self, especially on days when you bleed.
✦ Anatomy of the Sigil ✦
🌙 Crescent Moon – Womb Memory
The open crescent gathers your blood, your dreams, your softness. It blesses your receptivity and cyclical nature. It whispers: “You do not need to be full to be whole.”
✴ Seven-Pointed Star – Raphael’s Touch
Each ray corresponds to a key point on your spine and your seven energetic bodies. It carries Raphael’s breath into bone.It says: “What once hurt is now a portal of grace.”
💗 Heart – Core of Compassion
Your womb and back both need the same thing: love. The heart bridges the ache and the healing. It pulses: “Wrap every contraction in kindness.”
🪽 Wings – Angelic Holding
These are Raphael’s wings, open and resting behind you. They carry the frequency of “You are not alone.”
✝ Cross – Spirit in the Flesh
Not religious, but anchoring. A sacred intersection. Where prayer becomes presence. Where your healing roots into your actual body.
🌀 Spiral – Womb Pulse
The spiral is the womb’s secret dance. Healing is not a line. It is a curve. A return. A reweaving. The spiral says: “Unravel gently. There is time.”
✧ Blessing ✧
You are not meant to bleed in silence. You were never meant to harden through pain. You are not meant to endure pain as a test. You are meant to remember—that even in blood, you are sacred. Even in ache, you are holy.
This sigil, this scroll, this moment—they are a doorway back to softness.
This ritual is yours now. For each cycle. For each return.
You may come back to this as often as needed. The body never tires of being loved.
Let this be your map.
On every bleeding day. On every aching day. On every return.
